Over the last few years many aspects of residential conveyancing have become progressively more efficient and less demanding of the lawyer's time. We can now search titles and register property dealings direct with Land Information New Zealand through our computers. Many dealings with Councils can be dealt with in a similar manner, and most lenders now forward their loan and mortgage documents to us by email.

 

We believe in passing on these increased efficiencies to our clients by way of lower fees, as you can see from our list of fees. These fees include GSTand LlNZ registration fees.

 

While these fees are very competitive indeed, Richard personally supervises every transaction, unlike many other law firms where conveyancing is delegated to a junior, sometimes unqualified, staff member. We recognize the importance to you of your property transaction.

   

Prices

With effect from 1 July 2010, Land Information NZ is increasing its registration fees by 38%. In addition there is to be an increase in GST from 12.5% to 15%. We have not increased our fees since establishing our firm, but regrettably must now do so to cover these increased Government costs which are included in our fees.

 

For all transactions settling after 30 June 2010, our standard fees are:

 

Purchase with one mortgage $795

 

Purchase with no mortgage $725

 

Sale with one mortgage $695

 

Sale with no mortgage $625

 

Refinance with one mortgage $695

   

Please note:

 

1. These prices include GST and Land Information NZ registration fees.

2. These prices exclude the cost of any reports (valuation, building, Council, LlM etc) to be obtained and paid for by you, the client.

3. If your purchase or sale does not become unconditional we charge $115.00 to cover LINZ search fees and administratove costs.

4. If your purchase or sale runs into unexpected problems which put it outside the category of a standard transaction we will notify you immediately and discuss any additional costs with you before proceeding further.

5. If you are purchasing (a), using a company with personal guarantees involved, or (b), through a trust, there will be additional charges because of the extra documentation required. Please contact us regarding fees in these circumstances, as each case will be different.
